6 easy ways to be more energetic everyday
What happens when you don't have the energy that you need?
Lack of energy can lead to several things that act as a barrier to living a successful life which can make you moody, angry, and can cause depression.
It can prevent you to achieve your daily goals and can also result in weight gain and heart disease and other lifestyle diseases.
Some people say you should work hard in your 20's more because in '30s responsibilities will add to your life. If you apply the right tool you can be energetic throughout the day and be more productive no matter what your age is. I am more energetic in my 30's than my 20's with a few lifestyle and habit changes.
When we wake up in the morning we feel fresh and most energetic.
As the day passes energy level comes down and we experience tiredness and become lethargic. Some times we feel we are left with no energy to take any other task and complete.
We all are busy in our lives(both personally and professionally). We don't focus on our bodies and mind.
We like to overwork which results in a sharp fall in energy level within a few hours of the start of the day.
We can learn to be more energetic and feel fresh if we plan our day well(with small changes to our lifestyle).
What do you mean by being energetic?
Being energetic does not mean you have to something extraordinary like break the mountain and prove your energy.
Being energetic is not something that comes easily. Energetic people have daily habits that help them stay productive throughout the day.
You have to have a more positive mindset for the things you do daily and about yourself.
Can I achieve it myself? Can I do it?
Energy is achievable. You can do it. You can be the best version of yourself.
But even if you get 6 to 7 hours of sleep a day, it should be of high quality. You can take small naps during day time.
Here are some tricks for you to improve the quality of sleep.
1. Take a warm bath before sleep.
2.Meditation
3. Not using any electronic gadgets before 2 hours of sleep.
4. Reading a book, journaling.
2. Take frequent small breaks throughout the day.
Going short lets you stay connected to all those things that matter most and be more productive.
So take as much as breaks and recharge your battery to full again when you feel like you are drained with all that energy.
If you start your work when you have all the energy to focus where you can finish it fast than taking more time on it and be more productive that way.
3. Food for all-day energy
Understand the importance of breakfast. Include all good foods(balanced food like fiber, protein, fats)
It is very good to include seeds in your daily diet like (flax, chia, pumpkin) seeds for a good source of energy.
Drinking vegetable juice in the early morning is a great way to start your day as it helps to remove all toxins from the body. So you can replace your morning tea or coffee with raw vegetable juice.
It is also important to reduce carbohydrate intake since this turns in to fat and increases more weight and makes you feel full, sluggish and tired. As my profession demands to sit in front of a laptop for 8 hours every day, I carefully plan my daily diet for weekdays and weekend days separately. Also, avoid sugar and high energy foods to stay naturally healthy and fit. Simply making more healthier and natural food choices will help to get more energy throughout the day. You can choose healthy snacking between meals to keep the energy level constant. I like to take dry fruits between my meals and not to reach the peak point of hunger.
4. Keep yourself hydrated.
You need to make sure to drink enough water throughout the day to keep your boy well hydrated. It is good to avoid energy drinks and sodas and replace them with green teas and coconut water.
You can try this simple method of using a few drops of lime juice to your water and get some flavor.
Avoid caffeine intake after 3 pm.
Another good alternative to caffeine is green tea which helps to keep you focused and improve memory and metabolism. It is a good habit to drink green tea after 1 hour of food intake.
I like to sip green tea throughout the day on weekdays which helps to keep my mind calm and focused.
5. Exercise regularly
It is very much essential to keep the sync between mental and physical energy for a positive mood and high energy.
Plan your exercise to include a combination of yoga, strength, breathing exercise.
Even just a 10-minute walk can increase your energy level naturally. Exposing yourself to Sunlight will add that daily dose of vitamin D to your body which is essential for energy production. Vitamin D deficiency can make you feel fatigued, slow and sluggish.
One study showed that low-intensity exercise on a regular basis. can play a great role in increasing energy levels and reducing fatigue.
6. Simple habit change
You can change habits like intake of junk food, caffeine, smoking, and drinking.
Instead of using substances that cause harm to your body you can incorporate the simple good habits to your life to produce lasting energy.
Respect the body and soul and fuel it with good inputs to get the most result out of it.
