6 Things to do at home during COVID-19
During this COVID-19 lockdown period when we are forced to stay at home and everything is closed like school and office and every event is canceled, School and work transferred online can be frustrating for many especially for those who have there plan canceled and don't have any backup plan to execute. Instead of becoming restless, you can choose to do what is good and make this COVID-19 Lockdown time valuable. I started writing the blog during this lockdown period.
So taking the information to the best of my understanding here are the 6 things to do during COVID-19 lockdown.
1.Disconnect
Disconnect to reconnect.
Now it is the perfect time to disconnect with all the negative that is happening in the outside world(physical and virtual), and reconnect with your inner self and discover who you truly are as a person. We often forget to take time off from our busy lives to truly discover ourselves and enjoy the little things which give us real happiness. So disconnecting your self for even a short period and do whatever brings you joy can be very beneficial and even build a positive attitude towards what is happening around the world.
2. Read
We often complain we don't have enough time to read. Well now is the time to do! This lockdown period is not so negative after all, it depends on you what you choose to do with your free time. Reading is an excellent opportunity to learn(personal finance and self-improvement books are on my list right now). Reading is a great way of learning since you are learning from other people's best practice, mistakes and can implement that in your life to make it better. It is like traveling the whole world even if you are at home. So take advantage of the time you have now to read.
3.Play games
We always discuss about the games we played when we were young.we just enjoy talking about those beautiful moments of childhood. Now that we have some extra time to be at home, let's build great bonding with our family and will cherish this beautiful moment in the future when lockdown will be over. Story making, domino, puzzles, coloring, Quiz are some of our favorite pass time. Please let me know what is yours in the comment section below.
4.Connect with loved ones
We were always busy and juggling with home, office, family. There was not much time to connect with our loved ones like friends. Although number 1 says to disconnect, you can be grateful for all the good things that the internet provides today. We can take some time off a day and can connect to our friends and relatives through call, text or facetime and create a positive atmosphere in this situation.
5.Learn something new
Is there something you have been wanting to learn but haven't had time to try?
In 2020 we can learn just about everything in the comfort zone of our home. So Social distancing can not be an excuse as to why you could not learn any new language which you always wanted to. learn something new like cooking, a new language, increase your vocabulary, learn to play an instrument, take an online course of that one thing which you always wish you had time for or learning headstand. As I told above I started blogging during this lockdown period since I like to read different blogs, books and about people and about there life, struggle and what was there approach to overcome that and document my learnings from that and my mistakes, learnings in form of journals.
6.Self-care
last but the most important is to take care of your self first. It can be anything like taking care of your body in form of yoga which has the benefits outside the traditional weight loss exercises to stay in shape, improve your mindset and reduce anxiety, dance i.e finding the joy within yourself or any other physical form of exercise.doing 10 minutes meditation a day to clear your mind or doing some of your hobbies which you enjoy, cleaning the space you live in. Eat healthy, do home workout(youtube, cure.fit app). Take good care of your body and relax and all of these are important benefits.
