Life skills are based on family, culture, society that surrounds you.

There are so many life skills children can learn in the journey of life. Here I will explain about most 7 important skills to start with.

1.Home management

Home management is a skill that you can teach from an early age as 2 or 3.When kids play with there toys teach them to keep that in the proper place. Home organization is the basic skill of home management.
Later they can learn to make beds, cleaning, cooking.
The best way for them to practice all these by doing age-appropriate chores.
They can learn to use a washing machine, microwave, mixer grinder, juicer, turning on/off the appliances(tv, gas).

2.Time management

Time management is not an easy task to learn for kids. Young kids don't have a sense of time. I started learning about it much later in my life.
So for children to learn that they should stick to there schedule. When they become a little older you can help them plan their schedule, using some planner or a notebook.

3.Self Care

When it comes to self-care it includes body, mind, and surroundings.
We always teach them to take care of there body, it's also important to teach them to take care of there mental health as well.
learning to eat their food, basic cleaning after (food, toilet), brushing teeth, put on clothes are some you can start from toddler years.
As they grow older they can learn about personal hygiene, maintaining cleanliness like washing hair, trimming nails, treating a wound, taking medicine, etc.

4.Managing emotions

Young children experience the same range of emotions as adults.
There will be many situations that will come in kid's life like when someone is teasing them when mom doesn't understand them, when a teacher is being unfair to them when a friend is being mean to them as they grow.
It is very important to teach them to develop a  positive mindset and handle these types of stressful situations in life by identifying their emotions and responding in the right way.

5.Organization skill

Organization is a very important life skill for everyone. If we are organized we can save a lot of time. When kids are disorganized they always call Mom where is my book/shirt/shock in the time of hurry.
Face the craziness every day or teach them basic organization skills for which they will be thankful to you later in there life.
Start with teaching them to organize their books, clothes.

6.Money Management

Kids should learn about money from an early age. Money is a subject which is not taught in schools. Teach them how to handle money wisely so that they learn good money habits which will serve them in there adulthood. The basic of money like saving, budgeting, wise spending habits which will make them responsible for managing money. Let them know the hard work we do to earn money, stick to a budget, and keep the expense less than your income. They should learn everything costs money to buy and if we spend wisely we can live our life without debt.

7.Problem Solving

Parents always encourage kids to compete with there peers. This builds an unnecessary competition sprit in them. It makes them feel bad when they are not winning in the race. Coping failure and overcoming it is an important skill not only for kids but also for Parents. Every child(person) is unique. Instead of encouraging them to race with peers teach them to compete with themselves and be better every day. Life is a journey to experience. So teach them the power of problem-solving. Everyone has there own problems and are dealing with it every day. If the problem-solving mentality is incorporated in there brains from a young age they will become much more stronger adults later. We like to do puzzles a lot in our free time. Puzzles are a great way to teach problem-solving to kids.
